I`m always a fan of buttons. Whether it`s a big pink button near the shoulder of a black coat, buttons on watch straps, buttons on pouches and purses… I love them all! Button bracelets, too, are very adorable!

Last year, I posted about cute Japanese bento boxes and my favorite Hello Kitty sushi, and wished I would learn how to make them myself. Boy, they`re so intricate and seems so hard to do.

 

Today, I foundc ute instructions how to do the super cute bento box fillings.

I`m never really a fan of monkeys. Even if Paul Frank was a hit when I was first year in high school. Well, yeah… The Paul Frank monkey is sooo cute and I find it adorable, but somehow I associated monkeys with boys and I`m a girl so I would just pick a unicorn instead. :)

 

But today, I found a little lady who celebrated her 2nd birthday  on Greeneyed with a monkey theme…and I might change my mind about monkeys. Squishy cute!

I`m just done with the cards for the surprise we`re preparing for the Moms in church tomorrow. My Mom happened to see what I was making so it wouldn`t be much of a surprise to her anymore. I just picked the best card for her so she at least it would be a little more special.

 

We made handmade pop-up cards from Martha Stewart. It was so fun to do, but I made a lot so it wasn`t really that easy. But if you`re just gonna make one for your Mom, it`s definitely fun and worth spending your time on.

I don`t know how to ride a bike. I`ve never ridden a bike without training wheels. The last time I`ve ever made a bike move was a couple of years ago, in a nearby park…which of  course, had a side car.

 

The last time was memorable `cause it was my first time to actually move around a place on a bike and I had Australian Gospel singer guests with me. So maybe that`s what made me make it move. Eeek! I couldn`t just embarrass myself. hehe

 

Well, today… I found pretty, pretty Beg bikes via 79ideas. They`re like girly, girly stuff and you would want to wear a skirt if you`re planning to get on a little photoshoot with these things. But don`t ride them in that like how girls do it cartoons and movies no matter how pretty they look. hehe

 

 

 

This is what I`m talking about. haha No matter how cute,

no miniskirts on bikes. haha

 

 

I guess, I should try to learn how to bike before summer ends in a few weeks. BTW, we`re going the park to jog tomorrow and for the nicest weekend market. I should go and try, what do you think?

 

SUMMER GOAL:

I think I`m having too much of a sweet thing this morning. Not in a bad way though (`cause I don`t mean food, but something else.),You`re  like smiling all the way to your ears and your heart feels so full can`t breathe. It`s funny. haha

 

I told you before that I like colorful words, colorful blogs, colorful bloggers… {whew! colorful bloggers?}…and colorful songs, btw. And I have one favorite that fits well into that category.

 

When I need to smile, even just in my heart, I would head over to his blog and read any random post. I drop by like a tired, wandering adventurer… and come out refreshed like a happy, pretty flower. hehe My analogy`s weird but seriously, when creativity somehow eludes me, this far away friend inspires me. I feel like I see a part of me in him and how he writes.

 

I dream of one day writing as colorful as he does.

 

And I love, love, love his song I`m posting below.

These Animal Decoupage would look good not just in Kids church but also in any kid`s room.

 

Look at how light, creative and complex this loft in Paris, France looks. Who says fire has previously consumed this place?

 

Designed by Frédéric Flanquart, after the owner of the house requested the place to be remodeled into “something new, ambitious and creative”, this loft has turned into something really cool and yet sweet and comfortable. It took 18 months to turn the damaged space into a brilliant, bright and fun sanctuary. No traces of fire. Everything new and welcoming. The designed said that it was a loft “filled with emotions project, combining complexity, simplicity and lightness”.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I love it! Really proves that things that has been destroyed can can be restored. If we would take time and ask a designer to clean up and rebuild it for us. Same for our hearts and spiritual lives right? Jesus is always ready to fix up broken lives and empty spaces. Only if we would come to Him and ask.

 

PS. I really feel this is like modern meets Noah`s ark! Look at those awesome wooden structures! I would love to work in a place like this someday. Good idea for a design studio!

If you were to ask me, I would say this house doesn`t quite look as fancy as the others but this would pass as a dream house. It is one of my favorite houses to date!

 

 

Don`t you feel like this was built on and with love! Even if everything looks quite ordinary, how it was made lovely and cozy… I find it really amazing and heart-warming. You can feel how the owners tried to make it the best place for them to live.

 

I would love it if our house would turn into something like this!

 

 

 

 

This reminded me of the new post on the Incourage website about Creating A Home That Reflects Our Blessings. Not just putting random objects that look good in the eye, but creating a home where you find joy, where you delight to see and remember the things God has done and God is doing in your life.

 

I would love to help my Mom in this. I know she`s done a pretty good job. We`ve got trees and a lot of flowering plants…and lots of childhood and present photographs. But I would also like to do my own part and encourage her more.
