My Worries and The God Who Never Changes

3:51 AM

I'm writing today after my laptop crashed. I'm using my Dad's old little netbook, and even though the L key is broken,  I am still able to blog. lol (Typing lol on a virtual keyboard was really an effort!) But I'm still blessed right?

When we look at the downside of our circumstances, our hearts only begin to fear and worry.  But with faith and confidence in the Lord who holds our lives in His hands, we only grow to be more hopeful and strong. We see bright rays of sunshine even while it rains. We open our hearts and our minds...we open our lives so God can work in it and prove Himself all-powerful and faithful.

A while ago, I was starting to fear and worry about losing my files--journals and photographs and many other things I would not want to lose. But I had to run away from fear and worry and jump into faith because I know that God is sovereign and whatever happens is His will. I know that He is the God of miracles. I've seen it many times, right before my eyes, and I coudn't doubt now.

This month in Kids Church, we were teaching kids about Moses and the Red Sea. And I was asking the children if they believe that the God who parted the sea thousands of years ago for the Israelites is the same God who is at work today. I was asking them if they believe God can do a miracle such as that today. There were kids who said that's probably possible. There were those who didn't doubt at all and shouted "Yes" with all faith. I said I believe that too.

I said...
I believe God is the same yesterday, today and forever.
I believe Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.

And so, I choose to have faith. Even if it's not always easy. ;)

Because the One I choose to have faith in never changes.
And my worrying is just...useless! lol

Goodnight!

P.S. I'll be posting my promised post later tonight or early tomorrow ;) Meeting a friend today so I have to put off writing for a little while... So sorry. I know I have been absent for long .

I can't wait to share with you what I learned from Ate Arla! Excited! Catch you here tonight!

A Little Word For The Day

A Little Word For The Day: How Much Do You Love?

2:44 AM

It`s been a beautiful, beautiful day. I just came from a missions event in a nearby province with my sisters, the Intimacy band and Filipino Gospel Singers Arla Fontamillas and Me-An Antenor. I really couldn`t explain the joy in my heart right now. Serving and meeting such godly men and women was just amazing. I`m learning a lot from them!

This afternoon, Ate Arla and I were talking about love (girls, you should read my next post! I`m sharing what God taught me through Ate Arla about waiting on God and embracing your purpose as a woman! So cool! I`m a changed lady! lol)

To keep things short tonight (as I`m so tired and sleepy and there`s church tomorrow), I`m gonna share a short but powerful word from Ate Arla`s testimony.

She said that the proof that someone is a Christian is how well he loves his brothers. It was a convicting moment for me. If love is the proof that Christ is in my heart, then how much do I extend my heart to show compassion, forgive and embrace a person from head to toe and inside out? How much do I love? How much am I even willing to love after all?tumblr_lr8rwvFtLh1qbsd4uo1_500_large

The truth is, I still have so much to learn and so much love yet to give. While it`s easy for me to offer compassion and forgiveness to a Mary Magdalene, it`s not easy for me to forgive the Pharisees who would have stoned her. But I know it`s only by His grace and love that we also learn to love—even those who are unlovable. It`s only when we experience God`s love that has no boundaries that we also learn to love our neighbors without limit.

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.

Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God."
1 John 4:7

Let`s never stop loving! Never stop forgiving! Never stop running to Him! We love because He first loved us!

Let`s love and live loved!

Happy Sunday!

The Sweet Truth About Birthdays

3:02 AM

Yesterday was my birthday! { I actually haven`t slept yet so I`m thinking that it still is today…} And I`m so much happy and thankful for everything. For what I have. For love. For life. For family and friends. For opportunities to share hope and inspire. For the time I`ve got to share about and live for Christ.

I`m 24 now. { I can`t believe I`m so old… old for my friends and the young people in church. Winking smile} And I look back on all those years I lived and every day, every moment is all about Him. Everything was a gift from Him. Through all the ups and downs, He`s been there. I couldn`t be more thankful for all the beautiful things that has been and excited for what will be.

When I was younger, I thought that birthdays were just meant to celebrate you being born into the world. Now that God has opened my eyes, I know that birthdays mean so much more. Birthdays aren`t just meant to celebrate that day many years ago when you breathed you first breath. It means so much more than being thankful for life.

For me it means now that God has celebrated and rejoiced for my birth thousands of years ago, even before He laid the foundations of the earth. Birthdays mean God thought of you long before you were born. It is the celebration of the Creator thinking of you and loving you even before you were conceived. He knew this day would come and He couldn`t wait for it to happen.

I celebrate my birthday today because I know He loves me…longer before I was born. Longer before anybody was born.

I was on His mind. He was thinking of me.

And He celebrates with me today… the same way He rejoiced every single year… the same way He delighted over me when I was born.

Thank you, Lord. Thank you for creating me. Winking smile

Before I shaped you in the womb,
   I knew all about you.

Before you saw the light of day,
I had holy plans for you
