My sisters and I are excited talking about interior design (Got some good news to share with you before the year ends) and we’ve been talking about what colors to pick… Both of them already have detailed ideas in their minds, while I’m still working with my imagination…and I still need to research .

Jilly Bean Things today. I love textured pieces and colors that instantly brighten up my mood. Seeing pretty colors on a seemingly bad day cheers never fails to cheer me up. Do you like bright colors as well?

I found these super cute and lovely colorful throw pillows on Etsy last week and I can`t help but write about them.

 

Rainbow colors are fun, so much more when it comes to flowers. With these pillows, it`s like you have your own rainbow flower garden right in your living room!

 

{I should be paid for making an advertisement like this, right? lol}

 

Anyway, you can check out That Funky Boutique on Etsy (No, I`m not describing the shop. It`s the name of the shop!).

 

You`ll actually find out that there are even more colors than these. There`s a red ombre ruffle that looks like a real life rose, and some are available in darker shades of blue and also in gray (which is my favorite--the gray ones would look good in a white sofa!).

The couple of weeks I was away waiting for my writer`s block to go away (Well, excuses! haha), I was busy helping out with the Kids Church and doing artwork for our little friends.

 

It`s been pretty busy in church these days. esp. the with the kids division, since one of teachers moved out of the city while the kids are growing in number every week. So I left Multimedia to help out. Teaching children is my first love! ;)

 

 

Last year, I wrote about interior design ideas for Kids` church. We`re still not done with the work until now. Ferdie, one of the church artist, painted a mural with flowers and whales, the ocean and a big rainbow. We`re planning to change that now and give the room a revamp, also to meet the growing needs of the children. We need to put up more cabinets and make the room more alive. It`s really like a workshop now, but it could be made nicer.

 

I`m thinking of painting the room in two or three colors: white, yellow, and light gray and then put on some pretty wall decals. Not only that they`re easy to put up, but they look so cute and lovely. Kids would definitely love them.

 

They`re a little expensive, so I`m thinking of getting only a tree since I bought little animals (on sale!). But the good thing in these decals is that you can peel and reuse them.  Good idea since the church has a building project coming up and we might be moving in a year.

What do you like the most?

I`ve never really found anything as gorgeous are this. I really love simple, clean  designs that are warm and cozy at the same time. Those that feel so clean and you can almost smell the fresh sheets just by looking. And I absolutely adore anything yellow so if all those things go together, I`m like stunned and I can`t get my eyes of the picture!

 

I would really love working and writing and drawing in a room like this!  Mai really did a great job in remodeling her room! Totally awesome! All the pieces are those I would pick myself!

This is like a dream… The blue Aegean sea outside your window, white flowing sheets, and what do you call that kind of wood? (haha)

 

 

Seriously, for me, this is what a vacation is like. The flowing sheets and sea rests my mind.

 

Greek architecture and design is really beautiful, relaxing and calm…

 

 

Someday, I will fly to Greece… and see if I could stay there forever.

News says the storm is hitting Philippine shores tonight. But I believe it will be rainy in the afternoon just like yesterday and the other day. It feels a bit scary when you look outside the window when it rains these days. Yesterday afternoon rain was pouring SO HARD, it was foggy and a thick blankets of clouds covered the sky, you really couldn’t see beyond it at all. It was the first time I saw that kind of cloudy-ness… and it feels like the days of Noah. :p

 

 

Although yesterday’s rain was a bit scary…I don’t know but I find rainy days comforting. I like looking outside the window and snuggling a soft pillow, esp. when you feel kinda sad. { Hey, I don’t want to teach you how to become emo… haha I’m just sharing. } Sometimes, it’s just that I feel the rain pours out the tears I have no courage to cry out. And I don’t feel alone. Ever feel funny like this sometimes?

 

So a sunny day pillow that brings back the sunshine memories are fit for rainy days and crying hearts. haha

 

 

 

These are all from Sukanart on Etsy. But sadly, these are quite expensive in Philippine peso. But if I were also the one to make those cute, colorful birds, I wouldn’t charge cheap. Their quite hard to make.

 

So must I do them myself? Maybe. Since rainy days are here and I’m indoors most of the time.

 

And back to my rainy day drama… I really think I feel comforted because I believe God uses rain sometimes so we could stop from our “rushing” { we stop only when it rains!} and finally listen to Him.

 

I love it when the world stops for a while.. even just for a little while.

If I had a workspace like this, I think I could blog every single day for the rest of life. Haha Look at that lamp and see that perfect view?

 

Well, someday, I might want to move to London, get the same princess-like wallpaper and white-trimmed windows and wake up to a beautiful, spring morning like this…

 

 

To Pick flowers and arrange them on a vase…

 

And then fix a beautiful cup of tea.

 

Feeling like a princess-school girl. ;) haha

I found these relaxing Kids Room created by Geometrix {via Trendir}. I love the relaxing colors… Grays and yellows go together very well, don`t they? Classy.

 

My only concern is that this actually doesn`t look like a kids bedroom…with that gray, furry, carpet, modern furniture and lights.  But I would love this for me and my sisters now that we`re young ladies. Just add a little flower pot and it would look very much girly.

Look at how light, creative and complex this loft in Paris, France looks. Who says fire has previously consumed this place?

 

Designed by Frédéric Flanquart, after the owner of the house requested the place to be remodeled into “something new, ambitious and creative”, this loft has turned into something really cool and yet sweet and comfortable. It took 18 months to turn the damaged space into a brilliant, bright and fun sanctuary. No traces of fire. Everything new and welcoming. The designed said that it was a loft “filled with emotions project, combining complexity, simplicity and lightness”.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I love it! Really proves that things that has been destroyed can can be restored. If we would take time and ask a designer to clean up and rebuild it for us. Same for our hearts and spiritual lives right? Jesus is always ready to fix up broken lives and empty spaces. Only if we would come to Him and ask.

 

PS. I really feel this is like modern meets Noah`s ark! Look at those awesome wooden structures! I would love to work in a place like this someday. Good idea for a design studio!
